As the weather warmed and the seasons slipped into spring, one would think that Olga, an Herbology loving witch, would be giddy at the approaching growth of life granted to her plant friends. Normally she would be, if it weren't for her dreaded final exams. Now no one was saying that she was a bad student (well some might, but never to her face), but she was a good enough student to pass all but one of her classes Potions! One would also think that there wouldn't be a problem with this particular subject seeing as how one of her best friends was a potions ace, but as some may know our dear Olga didn't like asking for help. She liked to figure things out for herself and to make matters worse, Silvia, the potions ace in question, would not take long to figure out that Olga was failing potions. And Silvia, being the kindhearted soul she is, would try to help her friend.
"Olga! Olga, wait up!" Silvia hollered down the hallway. Finally catching up with her slightly shorter friend, Silvia spoke calmly. "Olga, why didn't you ask for help? You know I would be more than happy to tutor you!" Flinching, Olga glanced at her vampiric friend, knowing exactly what she was talking about.
"And why would I need help?" Olga barked back at her. Silvia stepped forward to block her louder friends path, not even slightly phased by her out burst.
"Because youre failing potions," Silvia replied flatly, "and because you need my help."
"I do not!" Olga snapped again, shoving past her friend. In a fit of anger, she stormed off. Sighing slightly and shifting her weight from one foot to the other, weighing the possible out comes of whether she followed Olga or go back to her dormitory to study, Silvia decided on the former. Running after her friend, knowing exactly where to look, she headed to the greenhouse. Coming to a stop in front of the small building, Silvia pried open the glass door and slipped inside unnoticed. After a few moments, Olga realized that she wasn't alone with her green babies. She spun around to meet her pale friend face to face. "What now, Silvia?"
"Just 10 minutes a day, thats all Ill need." Silvia noticed that Olga was considering that it would be a bonus to be tutored; if she didn't pass all her exams, her greenhouse privileges would be revoked.
"Oh, fine!" Olga snapped and Silvia sighed in relief. She reached into her bag for her potions book, noting that Olga had already taken a seat on a bench. Silvia went to sit next to her, not seeing the grin that had spread across Olgas face. Olga figured that if she had to suffer through Potions, Silvia would have to work for it as well. Silvia rested the book in her lap as she dug through her bag for her notes and in a flash, Olga had the potions book and was out the door.
"Olga, give that back!" screeched Silvia, racing after her friend. Too concentrated on getting her book back, Silvia didnt see a small rock sticking up out of the ground and tripped over it, sending her flying at her companion. As their lips connected, the two girls just stared at each other. Slowly, they closed their eyes and applied a bit of pressure to their lip lock, then pulled back quickly, blushing brightly.
"W-well th-that was an, um, interesting method f-for getting your book back
!" Olga stammered out. Silvia, having no real response, just took her book back and clutched it to her chest. "So
w-we should get studying now, shouldn't we?"
"
Yeah," was all Silvia could get out.
They walked over to a nearby bench, sat down, and began to study. To this day, neither has bothered to bring up their little mishap, but to say the least, Olga never failed potions again and Silvia has started to see Herbology in a whole new light.
